NEW TO MEDICARE?
Medicare FAQs
I just have a few Medicare questions I’d like answered and I don’t want to be hounded afterward, is that possible?
Yes! Feel free to give me a call…I’m not a telemarketer or a high-pressure salesperson with a quota to meet. I’ll help answer your questions and not bug you afterwards.
Why am I getting so much mail and so many phone calls?
Most people moving to Medicare for the first time find it necessary to buy an extra insurance policy of some kind, usually a Medicare Supplement and Part D Rx plan or a Medicare Advantage plan. Insurance companies are competing for your business.
Is there a charge to me for your services?
No. If you would like to use me as your agent, whichever plan you select will pay me a commission. My services are always free to you.
I’m not ready to retire, do I have to sign up for Medicare?
It depends. Usually, you do not. Signing up for Part A and deferring Part B until you decide to retire makes sense in many instances. Sometimes it’s a better deal to move to Medicare and drop your employer’s health insurance. I can help you compare your options.
Why bother using a local independent agent? Can’t I just sign up on my own?
A good agent is looking after your best interests. Every year policies change, prices go up, and our goal as independent agents is to make sure you have the right coverage at the lowest cost.
What about all those Medicare television ads?
If it seems too good to be true…
